All Clydesdale's Road-Towable winches and drum trailers are sold with an Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) in place from the UK Vehicle inspectorate. This has been a legal requirement for this type of special purpose equipment since October 2014.

A modern machine designed specifically for the installation of underground cables in the telecom and electricity industries. The CLY 750 2-2000 has a dual capstan system which when combined with the variable pump hydraulic system means that the pulling force and speed are infinitely variable.

A manometer is incorporated to ensure a maximum pulling force can be set according to cable manufacturers specifications. The wire bond is integral to the machine and is fitted with an automatic rope-layering device to protect the bond and reduce the operating time. A braked swivel is supplied tp protect the wire bond. The trailer is fitted with suspended wheel axle, overrun brake system, adjustable support legs and is supplied with weatherproof cover.

A boom for winching operations below ground is available seperately, as is an electroninc data recorder for accurately measuring pulling force, speed and length.
