Part of a large range of our Cable Preparation Tools the CLY 370 OS range of Alroc jacket or sheath stripping pliers are designed to efficiently remove the PE, PVC, PR or rubber jacket from LV, MV and HV cables.
Stripping is done by first making two radial cuts in the sheath at the extremities of where the cable is to be stripped. Four circular cutting blades with pre-determined cut depths mean the tool only needs to be rotated through 90_ to complete a full radial cut. Secondly, a longitudinal cut is made using the roller as a guide and a single circular blade, again with set cut depth, from the one radial cut to the other. Thirdly, the sheath can then be peeled off using the tooth blade on the end of the pliers.

The pliers are available in a range of sizes to suit the cable diameter. Various combinations of cutting blades are available to suit various sheath thicknesses and should be correctly selected from the drop down option boxes below before ordering.
The radial cut depth should be 0.2 - 0.5mm less than the nominal jacket wall thickness.
