Everyone involved with overhead power lines needs to know whether the network on which they are about to work is LIVE or DEAD. This simple to use Voltage Detector has a number of unique features, the most novel of all is its in-built self checking device which tests all of its circuitry, battery connection and voltage, as well as the presence and stability of the threshold voltage.
In the event of a live contact the device emits a flashing red warning light as well as an audible signal, should the contact be dead then a constant green light and no audible signal is given. Should either the battery voltage diminish or the operator fail to disengage the unit will automatically turn itself off.
