Clydesdale is proud to announce that we are now responsible for the design, manufacture and supply of the revolutionary TELNETT Overhead Line Road Crossing Safety Net System.
The system utilises a specially designed, compact and easy to use road trailer and slave unit which are sited either side of a crossing. the trailer and slave units are fitted with hinged, telescopic masts which support the safety net over spans up to 20m, typical of A and B roads.
The Telnett system replaces the disruptive method of stopping traffic for long periods and the equally time consuming hoop and rope system which can be difficult to apply. Developed in conjunction with a major DNO and since adopted by a number of DNO's, the net prevents conductors from falling allowing the road to remain open whilst work is carried out.
Lightweight aluminium construction means the Telnett can be easily assembled by a two man team within 15 minutes, and then stowed in half that time. The Telnett system has proven to be a very versatile piece of equipment being easily adapted to suit to other applications such as floodlighting, CCTV surveillance and aerial support. The trailer is fitted with RTA compliant 12V lighting, overun autoreverse brake and rubber torsion axle.
