Manufactured from the same blend of prime EPDM known as Salcor® as our Blankets and line hose, Insulated Covers are used to shroud all sorts of overhead apparatus from pin insulators to HV Fuses.
Pin Insulator Covers feature RIB-GRIP® construction to lock in the line hose. The large diameter opening overlaps the small opening of the adjoining cover on double crossarm constructions which provides complete insulation at the joint regardless of the varying distance between pins. To work on live lines safely, conductors encased in a line hose should never be placed directly on a crossarm.
