The Heat Flux Calculator is a free software program created by Alan Privette and is made available to the general public for the purpose of calculating heat flux received at a surface some distance from an electric arc. Please register below to download. All fields are required. The software is DOS-based and will function on any PC running any version of Windows. The Arc Hazard Assessment Software and Instruction Document (35Kb EXE file) are contained in a self extracting zip (Winzip not needed) Note to User: If supply voltage is 480V (3-Phase) you MUST multiply the final result by 3 to account for potential arcs between each phase combination. Also: If working in a box, you MUST multiply the final result by an additional factor of 2, regardless of voltage (this is the box factor). Please Note: The use of this program is the responsibility of the user. Clydesdale makes no warranty to the accuracy of the results and accepts no responsibility for any damage that may arise from its use. Each application is unique. If in doubt to the parameters of your particular situation, discuss the specific conditions with your electrical safety officer or refer to an electrical safety consultant for professional assistance.
